Compass Associates supported the complex hire of recruiting a new Director of Clinical Services for a hospice specialising in palliative and end-of-life care.
The hospice had advertised the Director of Clinical Services role through several other suppliers and via their own internal recruitment process but unfortunately did not have much success in finding suitable candidates for this role.
After speaking with the client about their requirements, Compass Associates became mandated in the search for this role. The client was impressed with our track record of the partnerships Compass Associates has formed with our clients that allow them to benefit from an honest, supportive and transparent service, including how we focus on understanding a client’s culture and brand. As well as how we like to integrate this into the business story for perspective candidates to understand the direction, aim, and future of a prospective company.
The client had initially been advertising the role as a permanent position, but after discussing their requirements, we suggested advertising it as an interim position to see if the outcome met their needs and was a success.
The whole process had a quick turnaround, Compass Associates sourced two potential candidates that were taken forward for a two-stage interview process. The client decided that they would like to move forward with one of the candidates who then accepted the offer.
Both the hospice and the candidate formed a successful professional relationship. We advised the client that if satisfied with the current incumbent after the initial interim process and due to their understanding of the role requirements, it would be beneficial to both with offering the role on a permanent basis. The current incumbent accepted, and we were, therefore, able to provide another successful service.
