Compass Associates supported a leading healthcare provider in the appointment of a Divisional Director of Operations.
This particular assignment came to fruition through already having a historic partnership with the client and by supporting the prospective candidate in the search for a new role. First steps with the candidate were taken to ensure that we understood their background, needs and requirements by ensuring we asked key questions about what they were looking for in a new role, career direction and what they could bring to a new organisation. Once we had a clear understanding of this, we were able to examine some of the opportunities available with our clients.
Compass Associates have regular communications with this particular client so we knew that this role would be forthcoming. As we have a good understanding of the organisation’s business objectives and needs, we were able to identify the prospective candidate as a potential fit for this position.
The client was looking for a candidate with previous experience within the private healthcare market, along with a clinical background and who had worked their way up through senior management positions. The client was looking for someone with enthusiasm, ambition and hands-on experience. Good exposure to business planning, governance and quality were also key experience requirements for this role.
Compass Associates shortlisted an additional four candidates, taking the total screened for interview up to five for this role in total. Three out of the five candidates were taken forward for the interview stage, with two of these being taken forward to the final stage. This included the candidate we had initially spoken with who was then offered and accepted the Divisional Director position. The whole process had a quick turnaround and was completed within four weeks from the initial discussions with the candidate to being offered and accepted the role.
