We are introducing a Consultant Spotlight Q&A Series that highlights our consultants across each of the three divisions within the Compass Associates brand. The latest article in this series will be introducing Lily Bulbeck from our Elderly Care division.  

What is your role and how long have you worked at Compass?

I am a Senior Principal Consultant and work within the Elderly Care division. I have worked at Compass for four and a half years now.

What markets do you cover?

I focus on headhunting for senior clinical appointments within the Elderly Care markets. My typical assignments include Clinical Deputy Manager, Clinical Lead, Care Services Manager, Head of Care and Clinical Services Manager roles.

Advice for job seekers

My advice for job seekers is to effectively prepare for interviews by doing some preparation beforehand and researching the company values and future plans for growth, etc.

I would also suggest trying to include a few career achievements on the CV as employers will often understand the responsibilities of individual roles already but this quality information will establish why you are a successful candidate and worth interviewing for the post.

I also feel including hobbies and interests on a CV is great as a lot of people often miss this out. It is a great way to make you stand out as an individual!

Current changes you foresee within the sector?

We are seeing a lot more overseas recruitment for nurses and recruiting for candidates from more hospital and community based backgrounds.

Career highlight within Compass Associates

My career highlights include:

• Breaking the Elderly Care division record in 2021/2022
• Having a personal best year in billings
• Being promoted to Senior Principal Consultant

I felt that all of this is great achievement especially for a clinical/middle management desk.

A bit about you outside of work

I enjoy getting outside most weekends and enjoying long walks and exploring new places. I spend a lot of time reading and learning about plant medicine and homeopathic remedies as I believe nature is healing. I also enjoy visiting new places and buying new crystals to add to my grown collection of over 300!
