We are searching for a Cardiac Physiology Manager to come and lead the elective cardiology service. The service is in the centre of the picturesque area of Cornwall. Surrounded by idealistic Valleys and waterways’ and is easily commutable to local amenities. The service is part of a private hospital, which has a reputation for delivering a great patient experience which is reflected in their ‘Good’ CQC report. The Hospital has also completed a recent internal survey resulting in positive results around patient safety, support and respect across the multi -skilled clinical and non- clinical teams.

The Hospital boasts an array of elective care services including Orthopaedic, General surgery, ENT, Gynaecology and Cardiology. Due to the hospitals success, they are reinvesting into their facilities, as a result the Cardiology unit is going through a refurbishment, which will introduce new services which include Shockwave and Rotablation which will be fully supported with state of the art equipment to improve the service offering.

Who are we looking for?

You will be a Cardiac Physiologist who has completed your BSc in Clinical Physiology, you be registered with the BSE/ HRUK/ IBHRE and/or equivalent. This is a great opportunity for a Senior Cardiac Physiologist who has at least 5 years’ experience within a private healthcare or NHS setting to achieve the next step in your career. Alternatively, you could be a Principal Cardiac Physiologist who is looking for a change in environment. Clinically your skills will be unmatched and will include, but is not limited to – Angiography, PCI, device implantation, Cardioversion and Transoesophageal Echocardiography.

In addition to your clinical skills, you will be supporting the service operationally too. This will include making sure that the service adheres to guidelines set by the relevant governing bodies including CQC. You will work closely with the consultants within the service; to streamline the patient pathway, this will be achieved with the effective use of communication across all disciplines. You will also have a passion for developing a team, alongside your own personal development which will be fully supported by my client. You will work closely with the Head of clinical services in the delivery of business objectives, whilst showcasing to your team what clinical excellence looks like.

The service is open Monday to Saturday, 08:30am – 18:30 pm, with a mix of inpatients and outpatient services. So, it is vital for the successful Physiologist to be able to demonstrate your flexible and adaptable approach to ensure the delivery of an exceptional patient experience.

Requirements

  • BSE/ HRUK/ IBHRE accreditation and/or similar
  • BSc in Clinical Physiology
  • 5 years’ experience as a Senior Cardiac Physiologist
  • Demonstrate ability to lead a team
  • Be able to work closely with consultants
  • An enthusiasm for personal and team CPD

Location

This Hospital is easily commutable from Penzance, St Austell, Newquay, Dartmoor, Plymouth and Port Isaac.
