Clinical/ Counselling/ Forensic Psychologist – Residential Childrens Homes

Job Title: Psychologist

Salary: £53,600, pro rata per annum

Hours: Part Time, minimum 22.5 hours per week

Location: Wiltshire (Melksham and Salisbury)

Overview:

Compass Associates is excited to partner with a specialist education providers to find a part-time Clinical Psychologist to join their team in Wiltshire. This is a unique opportunity to work across four new children’s homes, including an assessment home, where you’ll play a key role in identifying and addressing the individual needs of children in care.

Role Responsibilities:

As a Psychologist, you will provide comprehensive therapeutic services, with key responsibilities including:

  • Delivering evidence-based therapeutic and psychologically led care in line with HCPC and BPS standards.
  • Conducting comprehensive psychological assessments and preparing reports for children and young people in care.
  • Developing, writing, and regularly reviewing therapeutic care plans for individuals in residential care and education.
  • Managing a limited caseload for individual interventions, offering specialist psychological support to young people and teams.
  • Contributing to the development of a therapeutically informed service across educational and residential teams.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Clinical / Counselling / Forensic Psychologist
  • HCPC Registered as a PRactitioner Psychologist
  • Experience working with children and young people or relevant transferable skills is essential.
  • Previous experience working with children and young people who have experienced trauma and complex needs.
  • Experience in assessment and management of self-harm, risk, crisis management, and safeguarding.
  • Knowledge of therapeutic practices and experience with sensory strategies.
  • A full UK driving license and access to your own vehicle.
