You will be working in partnership with local NHS trusts and hospitals along withGPs to provide care to patients in the comfort of their own homes, to help prevent unnecessary re-admissions to hospitals; therefore promoting a smooth recovery and timely discharge for patients! Day to day you will see between 3 and 6 patients.The role will entail administration of IV antibiotics, assessing patient’s recovery and refer if needed, assisting patients with their daily activities and also assisting with any medications. As an ideal candidate for this role, you will be a qualified RGN with at least 12 months post registration experience working in a clinical settingand experienced with IV medications. Working in the community you will be providing care to a very mixed caseload of patients so you must be able to communicate well, have a kind and empathetic nature and be able to work independently under pressure. You must also have a full UK driver’s license Shifts This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week working 5 over 7 days. Shift times are either 7AM to 3PM or 2PM to 10PM, some flexibility will need to be required and any time worked after shift will be paid at an enhanced rate. Also some weekend working will also be required. Overtime is available for evening and weekend work. Location You will be travelling within the catchment area of the local NHS hospital.
