Compass Associates are proud to be working with a valued client in their recruitment for a Director of Nursing for their large skilled nursing facility in Durham, North Carolina.
For this opportunity you are required to be qualified registered nurse (RN), that is passionate about care and has previous or current experience of working as a director of nursing within a skilled nursing facility. You will be focused on providing high-quality care in line with North Carolina state, Medicare and your own standards, supporting and developing the well-established team you are leading. Reporting into and supporting the administrator, with their day-to-day responsibilities.
The Candidate
The successful candidate must have a registered nursing license (RN), active in the state of North Carolina. While having experience of managing a large nursing team within a senior care community, as a director of nursing. Along with a good understanding of North Carolina state regulations within senior care.
All applicants must have experience as a DON within a medium to large facility and provide evidence that they have the capability to manage the clinical operations of a skilled nursing facility. The position requires a manager who can motivate a staff team, while ensuring that first class care is always delivered and understands the expectations of working within a fast paced, ever changing environment.
Requirements
Registered nurse qualification (RN) within the state of North Carolina
A minimum of 2+ years experience as Director of Nursing
History of managing a large clinical team within a medium to large skilled nursing facility
Experience with, Medicare, Medicaid guidelines
Knowledge on North Carolina senior care state regulations
Location
The facility is based in Durham, North Carolina and is commutable from Raleigh, Greensboro, Winston-Salem, Fayetteville and surrounding area’s.
