Are you an EP seeking your next step?

Looking to oversee multiple schools (inc. a brand-new site) and further your career?

Then this may be the opportunity for you!

Overview:

Compass Associates is pleased to be collaborating with a leading provider of specialist care for children on a nationwide scale in the UK. They specialise in bespoke schools and nurturing residential homes that meet each child’s social and educational needs.

In order to help the provider’s deliver specialised and evidence-based treatments that are proven to help tackle the issues faced by its service users, we are working in partnership to headhunt for an Educational Psychologist to overlook a small remit of 3 specialist autism schools for children ages 7 to 17. This includes one brand-new school, opening in September 2024.

As the Educational Psychologist, you’ll become an integral part of a cohesive and experienced multidisciplinary team, which includes another Educational Psychologist (EP), an Assistant Psychologist, Speech & Language Therapists, Music Therapists, and Counsellors. While you will be the sole on-site Psychologist, your role involves supervising the Assistant Psychologist and managing your caseload. Additional support will be provided by the Head Teachers and the Senior EP for the region.

Location:

The role is hybrid remote, and you will cover roughly 3 schools in the London area, but remits can be adjusted to either predominantly north or south London. Therefore, it is commutable from most areas of the region, such as Wembley, Wood Green, Stratford, Bromley and Wimbledon, as well as the surrounding areas.

Criteria:

– HCPC Registered as an Educational Psychologist

Shift Pattern:

The role is term-time only, and requires a minimum of 3 days per week. Applicants seeking to do 3 – 5 days (full time) are welcome.

Interview Process:

3 stages: 1st stage is an informal introductory virtual conversation as an opportunity to learn more about the role. This is followed by the 2nd stage – an informal visit at one of the schools. The final stage is a more formal interview with a panel including a Senior Clinician, Head Teacher and an HR Representative.

This Educational Psychologist position pays an equivalent of Band 8a to 8b Doe, at up to £65,000 pro-rata. It also includes an industry-leading benefit package as follows:
