Salary: £53,601 (England) / £57,465 (Inner London) + mileage & expenses

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Term Time Only

Location: Hybrid with travel across England

Overview:

Compass Associates is thrilled to partner with a prominent organisation dedicated to transforming the lives of children and young people across England. We are seeking a passionate and skilled Educational Psychologist to join their dynamic team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality psychological support in various specialist schools.

Role Responsibilities:

As an Educational Psychologist, you will play a crucial role in shaping and enhancing psychological services within the organisation. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting consultation and reflection meetings to support school staff.
  • Providing clinical supervision to 2 Psychotherapists
  • Leading training sessions on behaviour management for staff teams.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including Occupational Therapists and Speech and Language Therapists.
  • Overseeing 14 specialist schools, providing tailored support to meet the diverse needs of each student.

Working Arrangement:

  • Hybrid Model: A mix of on-site and remote working, with at least 10 on-site visits per month to various schools in the group.
  • Travel: Required to conduct full-day site visits to schools, with mileage expensed.
  • Overnight Stays: For any site visit which exceeds a 90 minute commute, you will have the opportunity to arrange an overnight stay the night before which is expensed.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Educational Psychologist with valid HCPC registration.
  • Doctorate in Educational Psychology.
  • At least one year of post-qualification experience working with children and young people.
  • Ability to conduct dyslexia assessments (desirable).
  • A valid driving license and access to a car.

Interview Process:

The selection process will consist of two stages:

  • First Stage: A virtual interview via MS Teams with the Head of SEND and two other team members. Candidates will be required to deliver a 10-minute presentation on utilising skills for staff development, along with competency-based questions.
  • Second Stage: A values-based interview with a member of the Senior Leadership Team to ensure alignment of goals and values.
