Overview

At Compass Associates, we’re excited to collaborate with one of the UK’s leading and most respected independent providers of mental health and wellbeing services, offering both private and NHS-commissioned beds. Together we are headhunting for a dynamic Hospital Director for a specialist low secure service for older males over 50 with a forensic background. This is one of the smallest services in our portfolio, comprising just 13 beds.

As the Hospital Director, you will be responsible for the overall operational management of the service, including full accountability for its financial and operational performance. In this role, you will lead the hospital alongside a diverse multidisciplinary team, including clinical and auxiliary staff. You will also be responsible for overseeing the service’s registration and ensuring the delivery of outstanding patient care.

Duties Include

• Responsibility for the hospital’s operations and its commercial performance.
• Leads and manages the Hospital Senior Management Team (SMT) in all aspects of daily business operations, including monitoring performance against quality performance indicators (QPIs) and implementing performance management strategies in areas needing improvement.
• Continuously explore improvement strategies while ensuring services are delivered efficiently and within budget.
• Responsible for ensuring the service meets established targets for business planning, financial performance (including planned revenue and EBITDA), as well as quality and care standards.

Requirements

• Possess NMC registration or a relevant social care professional registration.
• Prior experience in a management role within a healthcare setting.
• Passionate about continuous improvement with a demonstrated record of accomplishment in organisation change.
• Experience of commercial accountability for cost control and financial performance.
• Desirable experience working in a similar setting.
• Desirable experience working within a similar setting
• Hold a clear DBS

Location

Located near Romford, this service provides excellent connectivity across the region, including easy access to Chelmsford, Enfield, Watford and Cambridge.
