We are looking to add a new Veterinary Surgeon to the team to take on a leadership role at a small animal clinic in Glasgow.

What is the job?

As a Lead Vet, you will have a wealth of responsibility and influence within the practice.Crucially, you will be working on the clinical case load and take charge of the standards / performance of other surgeons. You will manage a small team of 5 Vets to grow their capabilities and educate them on best practice.

As well as performing consults, diagnostics, and surgeries, you will be an advocate for development and look to offer more services to our already vast case load.You would also work with the Practice Manager to offer recruit for staffin the long run and push the financial well being of the site forwards.

This is a permanent role where you would join the weekend rota – currently set at 1 in 4 Saturdays.

The Clinic:

We are a purely small animal, first opinion, general practice. We’ve a team of 5 Vets, 6 nurses and a smattering of support staff. As a cat friendly clinic, we love our feline friends but also see dogs, rodents and offer consults on anything that comes in! We have all the best bells and whistles and boast orthopaedic equipment, large laboratory and spacious consult rooms to name but a few of the selling points!

As a practice owned and managed by our very own Directing Vet, we have complete autonomy and flexibility on how we work so welcome feedback and development from potential candidates!

Where is the clinic?

This clinic is based in Glasgow. Commutable from East Kilbride, Paisley, Bearsden, Bishopbriggs and all surrounding areas.
