We are looking to recruit a Nurse Registered Manager who will lead one of their Schools located in Halifax. Part of a network of 15 services nationwide, the service carries the organisations fundamentals of ‘excellence by any measure’ with a Good rating from Ofsted and is striving for Outstanding. We are looking for individuals with ambition to join this journey and make a difference to the lives of young people.

The service houses 12 children and can teach up to 20 young people from the ages of 11 to 19. We are able to support young people with autism and learning difficulties and have high aspirations for our pupils and strive relentlessly to improve relationships between all those who work with children and young people to ensure they feel valued and safe.

ROLE:

  • As a Senior Registered Manager, you will support Young Foundations services as a when required across the organisation.
  • To represent the organisation at external events.
  • To deputise in the absence of the Operations Director as requested.
  • To contribute to working groups/practice development as and when required e.g. Deputy Manager development, induction.
  • As a Registered Manager you will manage a Residential Home and ensure the efficient operation of the service in accordance with the relevant legislation, procedures, policies and the Statement of Purpose for the home.
  • Assist and supervise in the continual assessment of the needs of the children and young people and to identify and prepare specific development plans to ensure the most appropriate service provision.
  • Co-ordinate and monitor staffing levels within the home to ensure that individual needs are met.
  • Ensure that the standards within the home are maintained and developed in line with the Care Standards Act 2000 and the Children’s Homes Regulations 2001.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment paying particular attention to Health and Safety legislation and environmental health needs.
  • To work proactively with monitoring bodies to ensure that services are developing beyond the set standards.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • DipSW, CQSW, NVQ 3/4/5 in Working with Young People / adult Management or a willingness to work towards this.
  • Qualification in Nursing (adult or children) and relevant NMC PIN (RMN or RNLD)
  • Proven experience at Senior level in a Residential Home for adults/young people
  • Able to demonstrate advanced practice skills and experience in managing challenging behaviour.
  • Demonstrate good working knowledge of CQC fundamental working standards and regulations.
  • Working knowledge of the National Care Standards, Care Act and Regulations.
  • Good attention to detail and work to high standards.
  • Work using own initiative, taking full ownership.
  • Ability to develop and encourage professional growth in

PROCESS

  • Screening call with consultant, successful candidates will have CVs written up and sent across to David Roach to review.
  • Once reviewed, candidates of interest will be invited to have an informal conversation (phone or teams)
  • If the call goes well candidates will be invited to service for a formal meet and tour of service.
