Are you a dedicated Occupational Therapist passionate about supporting children facing social, emotional, and mental health challenges?

Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join a leading therapeutic school that has been transforming the lives of children for over 12 years. This is an exceptional opportunity to work in a supportive, multidisciplinary environment where your contributions will directly impact vulnerable young people who have experienced profound trauma and adversity.

Their therapeutic schools provide a nurturing space for children with complex needs, often unable to thrive in mainstream education. You will play a crucial role in fostering their emotional regulation and relationship-building skills.

Role Responsibilities:

As an Occupational Therapist, your expertise will be essential in delivering individualised and group therapy. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting children with emotional regulation and relationship-building in high-stress situations.
  • Conducting assessments and writing progress reports for annual reviews.
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including therapists and educators.
  • Engaging in one-to-one and group therapy sessions within classrooms.
  • Working across multiple sites to provide comprehensive support.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A degree in Occupational Therapy and active registration with the HCPC.
  • Experience working with children and adolescents, particularly those facing emotional and mental health challenges.
  • Newly qualified therapists who hold an HCPC registration are encouraged to apply; a paediatric placement is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a creative, flexible approach to therapy.

Employment Benefits:

  • 15 weeks of paid holiday per year
  • Healthcare insurance after six months
  • Pension scheme
  • On-site massage therapists, sound baths, yoga sessions, and reflective practice sessions twice a term
  • Free lunch
  • Opportunities for professional development and growth within a supportive environment
