We are looking for an experienced Staff Nurse from an Orthopaedics background to join this fabulous hospital in their Orthopaedics Centre. Under the guidance of the Senior Staff Nurse, you will work closely with the Practice Manager and Specialist Surgeon as part of the nursing team in supporting patient consultation and undertaking pre-assessment. You will support inpatient Ward Rounds and post-operative follow-up care.

As a registered nurse, you will be responsible for managing a group of patients and delivering a high standard of individualised nursing care to patients from admission through to their discharge.

-Always demonstrate good clinical practice and to be accountable for own actions

– Assess, plan and deliver care to meet patient and family needs

– Undertake extended roles such as IV cannulation, phlebotomy

– Contribute to research-based care and other practice development initiatives

– Contribute to the setting of clinical standards, policy and procedure

– Promote good communication channels amongst staff enhancing good team work

– Maintain a safe environment for patients and staff

– Deputise for senior staff in their absence, demonstrating leadership and management
