The Client
Compass Associates are proud to be working with a state-of-the-art Day Surgery Centre, located in the heart of Central London, who are currently in search for a Paediatric Nurse to join their team. This multi-speciality centre offers a range of surgeries including ENT, Orthopaedics, General, Breast, Gynae, Urology and Cardiac.
Due to exciting growth plans, they are now expanding their services and will be taking on Paediatric patients. This is an extremely exciting opportunity for an experienced Paediatric Nurse to join their team to help grow and develop their Paediatric Day Surgery Service.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will work as a part of their experienced nursing team to provide effective, evidence-based and patient focused care. You will be supported by the Head of Paediatric Nursing in order to develop the service, ensuring that a high quality of care if delivered to all patients, and their families are supported throughout.
You will have a number of key responsibilities including pre-assessment, participating and supporting in post-anaesthesia care, providing post-operative assessments and preparing for discharge.
There is a huge amount of opportunity that comes with this role, so it is the ideal for someone looking learn and progress in their career. This is a full-time position consisting of 40 hours per week, with a highly desirable shift pattern which will be worked 4 shifts per week, between Monday to Friday.
Requirements
– Qualified Registered Children’s Nurse (RCN)
– NMC Registration
– Previous experience in Paediatric Day Surgery, Surgical Ward, Pre-Assessment or similar setting
– Excellent communication skills
– Great attention to detail
– Motivated and enthusiastic
