Referrals Manager – Specialist Education

£45,000 per annum + Bonus

Essential Criteria

  • Experience managing referrals in the children’s specialist education or care sector
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Already has established contacts in the sector – specifically in the North West
  • Must own a car and have a valid driver’s license.

Compass Associates are proud to be partnering with an independently-owned provider of children’s specialist education services to recruit a Referrals Manager who can promote the business with local authorities, leading to new admissions in their services.

The Role

The Referrals Manager will be responsible for placing new pupils across a remit of 3-4 schools – this will be a fast-paced role with lots of variety; building deep-rooted partnerships with key stakeholders internally and externally with local authorities to identify their needs and position the group’s high-quality schools to meet such needs. Your time will be split between working out in the field, supporting school leaders, collaborating with company leadership at HQ (based in Greater Manchester) and otherwise working from home.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will be well-versed in how commissioning works and they will already have established contacts within the sector and region. Importantly, they will possess a firm understanding of the specialist education sector – how SEND schools operate on a day-to-day basis and how the referral process works. Applicants must be comfortable communicators, with strong prioritisation skills and a track record of commercial success.

Interview Process

  • The first stage interview will be with the hiring manager via Teams.
  • The second stage will be face-to-face at headquarters, with the hiring manager and other senior leaders.
