Senior Care Assistant (Days Only) – Elderly Care Home

£24,524.50 per annum

(£12.25phr, 38.5 hours per week)

Compass Associates are delighted to be working in partnership with a reputable care home provider that have a number of services throughout the North of England. They have gone through a phase of growth and improvement recently and are looking to expand their nursing team due to an increase in occupancy.

They now have an opportunity for a Senior Care Assistant to join their medium sized nursing home in Newcastle. The home is going through improvements at the moment focussing on the quality of care and standards throughout the home and so they are looking for experienced SCA’s to join them to drive this forward The home provides both residential and dementia care so experience across all elderly care is ideal.

The Candidate

As Senior Care Assistant, you will oversee the home alongside a Registered Nurse delivering the highest standards of personalised care to residents. You will have a caring and kind nature with natural empathy and a willingness to help others.

This is a permanent position, working either 3 days one week, and 4 days the next with a shift pattern of 19:45 – 08:00 which include both paid breaks and handover time.

Requirements

NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care (Essential) though NVQ Level 3 preferred

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Previous experience working in elderly care / care home setting
