Role Responsibilities:

As the Senior Occupational Therapist, you will play a pivotal role in managing and leading the Occupational Therapy Service across both CAMHS and adult services. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Using evidence-based, patient-centred principles to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate therapeutic interventions.
  • Overseeing the implementation of individual treatment plans, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among the Occupational Therapy team.
  • Collaborating with a mix of clinicians, managers, directors, and families to make sure everyone’s on the same page.
  • Leading and supporting junior staff, including assistants, with kindness and care.
  • Helping to set up and manage placements for occupational therapy students.
  • Assisting junior staff with their appraisals and personal development plans.
  • Taking charge of creating and implementing the right policies, protocols, and care pathways.

To Shine as an Occupational Therapist, You’ll Need:

What We’re Looking For:

  • A qualified and registered Occupational Therapist with HCPC registration.
  • Lots of hands-on experience working with adults after qualifying.
  • A solid background in using various occupational therapy approaches.
  • Strong clinical reasoning skills that really show you know your stuff.
  • In-depth knowledge of the assessment and treatment models that matter.
