Role Responsibilities:
As the Senior Occupational Therapist, you’ll play a vital role in managing the Occupational Therapy Service. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting high-quality assessments and developing tailored interventions to promote health and independence.
- Overseeing individual treatment plans and ensuring effective communication within the Occupational Therapy team.
- Collaborating with a diverse range of clinicians, managers, and families to ensure comprehensive care.
- Providing compassionate leadership and mentorship to junior staff and assistants.
- Facilitating placements for occupational therapy students and supporting junior staff with appraisals and development plans.
- Developing and implementing relevant policies, protocols, and care pathways.
What We’re Looking For:
- A qualified Occupational Therapist with HCPC registration.
- Extensive clinical experience with children and young people who have complex needs.
- A solid background in various occupational therapy approaches.
- Excellent clinical reasoning skills.
- Specialist knowledge of assessment and treatment models, especially for neurodiverse individuals.
