Role Responsibilities:

As the Senior Occupational Therapist, you’ll play a vital role in managing the Occupational Therapy Service. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting high-quality assessments and developing tailored interventions to promote health and independence.
  • Overseeing individual treatment plans and ensuring effective communication within the Occupational Therapy team.
  • Collaborating with a diverse range of clinicians, managers, and families to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Providing compassionate leadership and mentorship to junior staff and assistants.
  • Facilitating placements for occupational therapy students and supporting junior staff with appraisals and development plans.
  • Developing and implementing relevant policies, protocols, and care pathways.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A qualified Occupational Therapist with HCPC registration.
  • Extensive clinical experience with children and young people who have complex needs.
  • A solid background in various occupational therapy approaches.
  • Excellent clinical reasoning skills.
  • Specialist knowledge of assessment and treatment models, especially for neurodiverse individuals.
