Senior Paediatric Nurse – Leading Private Hospital

The Client
Compass Associates are proud to be working with a leading private hospital, located in the heart of Central London, who are dedicated to the healthcare or women and children. They are the UKs largest private women and children’s hospital with over 50 paediatric beds, a dedicated Intensive Care Unit, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Day Care Facility and 5 state-of-the-art theatres. There are many complex procedures carried out daily, across a range of acute specialities, including Gynaecology & Obstetrics, as well as general and paediatric surgery.
At present, we are currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Senior Paediatric Nurse to join their 13 bedded Neurorehabilitation and Complex Care Inpatients Ward.
The Role
The ideal candidate will have a kind and caring nature, with strong experience in a paediatric setting. As this is a senior position, previous experience in teaching/mentoring as well as managing or leading a team will be highly advantageous. You will provide clinical leadership and expert knowledge to the team, to ensure that the highest level of care is delivered to all patients, and that their families are supported throughout. You will deputise in the Paediatric Sisters absence and will work closely with the Senior Management Team to ensure the smooth running of the Ward, and work towards the continual improvement of patient care through both research and evidence-based practice.
This is a full-time position consisting of 37.5 hour per week, which will be worked across long days, nights and weekends. You will receive unsociable enhancements for the night and weekend requirement.
In order to be successful with this opportunity, you must be RCN qualified and be registered with the NMC. This Hospital has excellent training and development opportunities, so this position is perfect for someone who is dedicated and wanting to progress professionally.
Requirements
– RCN qualified
– NMC registration
– Strong experience within a paediatrics setting, specifically experience working within paediatric neurorehabilitation and complex care needs
– Paediatric Basic Life Support
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills
– Understanding of Safeguarding issues
– Team player
– Proven experience managing a team and supporting junior staff
– Clinical governance and experience with audits will be advantageous
Summary
My client is seeking a driven and experienced Paediatric Nurse to join their Neurorehabilitation and Complex Care Inpatients Ward. In return, there is a generous base salary of up to £51,000 on offer dependent on experience, plus shift enhancement for unsociable hours.
