Job Title: Senior PBS Practitioner – Adults – Learning Disabilities

Salary: £38,000 per annum + £4,200 Car Allowance

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

Location: Kent

Overview:

Compass Associates is delighted to be partnering with a a leading care provider for a Senior Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner. This rewarding role will involve leading the delivery of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) across multiple sites within the Kent region. You will work closely with a team of dedicated professionals, providing support, training, and supervision to PBS practitioners, while ensuring the wellbeing and quality of life of individuals you support is maximised.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and implement Positive Behaviour Support strategies across designated sites and regions.
  • Provide supervision, leadership, and support to a team of PBS Practitioners, helping to manage and prioritise their workloads.
  • Work collaboratively with site teams to ensure the delivery of positive and proactive approaches that improve the wellbeing of individuals.
  • Deliver ongoing PROACT-SCIPr-UK® training across the region.
  • Conduct behavioural assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate PBS interventions for individuals with challenging behaviours.
  • Support the reduction of restrictive practices and ensure person-centred care is maintained at all times.
  • Provide direct support to individuals, helping to implement PBS strategies where needed.

Essential Requirements:

  • Degree-level qualification or higher in a relevant field (e.g., Social Work, Psychology).
  • Formal qualifications in Positive Behaviour Support (e.g., BSc in Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, MSc in Applied Behaviour Analysis, PBS/ABA Graduate Diploma, or similar).
  • Proven experience in team leadership and management skills.
  • Qualified or willing to work towards Instructor Level of PROACT-SCIPr-UK®.
  • Extensive experience in supporting individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and challenging behaviours.
  • Experience in conducting behavioural assessments and developing interventions.
  • A strong history of delivering Positive Behaviour Support training and reducing restrictive practices.
  • Empathetic, resilient, and driven by purpose to make a positive impact.
