Overview
Compass Associates are delighted to collaborate with a leading private healthcare provider in the search for a Senior Staff Nurse to join their Cardiothoracic Surgical Inpatients team at a newly built specialist hospital in Birmingham. This purpose-built, multi-specialty facility, partnered with the NHS, provides high-quality, advanced care across specialities, including cardiology, oncology, and complex surgeries.
As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will deliver safe, compassionate, and high-quality patient care, responsive to the needs of patients and their families.
Role Responsibilities
– Provide clinical leadership, mentorship, and act as a role model to junior staff.
– Oversee complex patient care and collaborate within a dedicated multidisciplinary team.
– Be flexible to work shifts, including long days, nights, and weekends, based on internal rotation.
– Ensure effective, responsive care tailored to the needs of each patient.
Requirements
– Registered nurse with NMC pin
– Currently working as a Senior Staff Nurse or 3+ years’ experience as a Staff Nurse
– Experience caring for patients following cardiac / thoracic surgery (essential)
– Cardiac course (desirable, but not essential)
– Mentorship of junior staff
