Location: Remote / Hybrid – UK Wide Head Office in Bristol

Salary: Up to £60,000 + Bonus + Benefits

Overview:

Compass Associates is delighted to partner with a rapidly growing organisation in the complex homecare and supported living sector to recruit for a Service Development Lead. This is a unique opportunity to join a leading provider supporting individuals with complex needs, including learning disabilities, autism, and mental health challenges. This role will play a crucial part in driving service expansion and business growth by bringing in new care packages and securing properties for supported living solutions.

The Role:

The Service Development Lead will be responsible for identifying new care package opportunities, working closely with commissioners, NHS England, and other funding bodies. The role involves developing relationships with property developers and securing suitable homes for individuals transitioning from hospital to community settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development & Service Expansion: Secure new care packages annually for complex care and supported living services.
  • Property Development: Collaborate with property developers and housing associations to secure appropriate properties for clients.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including commissioners and healthcare professionals.
  • Operational Expertise: Apply your knowledge of healthcare regulations and operational excellence to ensure smooth transitions from hospital to community living.

The Candidate:

We are looking for candidates with a strong background in healthcare, particularly in complex homecare or supported living. You will have experience in business development, working with commissioners, and an understanding of property management in the care sector.

  • Extensive knowledge of complex homecare and supported living.
  • Proven track record of securing care packages and managing relationships with commissioners.
  • ESSENTIAL: Recent experience as a Business Development Manager, Service Development Manager, Sales Lead within a Complex Care, Homecare, Supported Living or Learning Disability organisation
  • Experience working with property developers and an understanding of housing benefits.
  • Familiarity with healthcare legislation such as the Mental Capacity Act and DoLS.
  • Desirable operational background, with experience in transitioning individuals with complex needs from hospital to community settings.

Interview Process:

The interview process will involve two stages:

1. Virtual Interview – An initial Teams call to assess suitability.

2. In-Person Interview – A case study or presentation may be required.
