Are you a passionate Speech and Language Therapist eager to support children with social, emotional, and mental health challenges?

Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join a leading therapeutic school that has been transforming the lives of children for over 12 years. This is an exceptional opportunity to work in a supportive, multidisciplinary environment where your expertise will directly impact vulnerable young people who have experienced profound trauma and adversity.

Their therapeutic schools provide a nurturing space for children with complex needs, often unable to thrive in mainstream education. You will play a crucial role in enhancing their communication skills and overall emotional wellbeing.

Role Responsibilities:

As a Speech and Language Therapist, your expertise will be essential in delivering tailored therapy. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing and treating children with communication difficulties, focusing on those with emotional and mental health challenges.
  • Supporting emotional regulation and social interaction through targeted interventions.
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including therapists and educators, to develop comprehensive care plans.
  • Engaging in one-to-one and group therapy sessions within classrooms.
  • Working across multiple sites to provide holistic support to students.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A degree in Speech and Language Therapy and an active registration with the HCPC.
  • Experience working with children and adolescents, particularly those facing emotional and mental health challenges.
  • Newly qualified therapists are encouraged to apply; a paediatric placement is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a creative, flexible approach to therapy.

Employment Benefits:

  • 15 weeks of paid holiday per year
  • Healthcare insurance after six months
  • Pension scheme
  • On-site massage therapists, sound baths, yoga sessions, and reflective practice sessions twice a term
  • Free lunch
  • Opportunities for professional development and growth within a supportive environment
