Job Title: Speech and Language Therapist – Specialist Education

Salary: £35,300 Pro Rata

Hours: Part Time – 22.5 hours per week

Location: Deal, Kent

Overview:

Compass Associates is excited to partner with a respected organisation committed to transforming the lives of children and young people. We are seeking a dedicated Speech and Language Therapist to join their therapeutic team and contribute to delivering high-quality support across their school in Kent.

Role Responsibilities:

As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will play a vital role in enhancing therapeutic services within the organisation. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing your own caseload of schools, providing high levels of support and consultation to operational colleagues.
  • Offering therapeutic advice and guidance to teams to assist young people throughout their educational journey.
  • Conducting assessments, setting goals, and making recommendations for therapeutic support for your caseload.
  • Developing, writing, and regularly reviewing therapeutic goals for children and young people in education.
  • Contributing to the delivery of therapeutic training for staff as part of the Therapeutic Academy.
  • Engaging in regular supervision and CPD activities, and participating in service development initiatives.

What We’re Looking For:

  • HCPC registered with a BSc in Speech and Language Therapy.
  • Experience working with children and young people or relevant transferable skills.
  • Open to nearly qualified applications.
  • Passionate about embedding therapeutic practices within educational settings.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A full UK driving license and access to your own vehicle.
