Overview:
At Compass Associates, we’re excited to collaborate with one of the UK’s most exciting providers of Non-Invasive Ventilation and Tracheostomy care for adults with long-term neurological conditions. Together were currently headhunting for a dynamic Ward Manager to join one of their specialist care centres in Purley, South London. This centre offers clinical residential care for 45 patients with neurological and respiratory conditions.
As the Ward Manager, you will oversee clinical and operational leadership for the nursing and support team across a ward for patients requiring either ventilator or tracheotomy care. In partnership with the you Clinical Services Manager, you will be ensuring that service users receive the best care possible.
This dynamic role entails the clinical responsibility for ensuring that the nursing team is equipped with the skills, knowledge, and motivation to provide and deliver the highest quality of care to service users. With the service holding an overall “Outstanding” CQC rating, you will be tasked with aiding in maintaining such rating and the enhancement of standards under the guidance of the Centre Director and Clinical Services Manager.
The successful candidate will be dedicated to patient centred care and a strong people manager, perhaps looking to gain experience as the next step in their career and make a real difference to people’s lives.
Requirements
- Previous experience in A&E, ITU, HDU, CCU, Respiratory, or Complex Care settings.
- While RGN qualification is preferred, RMN or RNLD candidates may also be considered if they have experience in a similar setting.
- Experience with Ventilator and Tracheostomy Care
- Leadership experience, ideally with at least 2 years, including responsibilities such as coordinating rota’s.

Located in Purley, South London, this service offers excellent transportation connections throughout the area, including Croydon, Sutton, and Bromley, with convenient access to public transportation, including proximity to Reedham station.
